Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
January, 15 1929 – April 04, 1968

On Monday, January 15th, DDR’s offices will be closed in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. whose legacy of advocacy for civil rights was driven by the dream of equality and fostered by love, brotherhood, and nonviolence.

“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “The Drum Major Instinct,” Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, February 4, 1968.
