The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will have a special sensory-friendly performance of “The Snowy Day and Other Stories” this Saturday, November 11 at 11:00am! This performance is modified for families and friends with children or adults who are on the autism spectrum or have other sensitivity issues.
During the performance, theatre lighting and sound are softened and house lights are dimmed but stay on. There is extra space for guests to move around as needed. In addition, quiet spaces, fidgets, and headphones are available.
Just in time for the winter season, this play is based on the 1963 book by author and illustrator Ezra Jack Keats. You’ll be whisked from your seat into the classic storybook that follows a young boy, Peter, as he experiences the first snowfall of the year. Follow him and his dog, Willie, as they explore the realms of their imaginations.
